A 3rd Party Authenticator is a company which has no financial gain from authenticating an autographed item.
Their task is to review the autographed item to determine if in fact the autograph is authentic.

For instance - if a provider authenticates the signature or autograph themselves, they stand to profit if the item
sells.  However, a third party authenticator does not care whether the item sells or not, they are only concerned if
the item is authentic.  They will not authenticate an autograph if it is fake or forged, based on their reputation as
an authenticator.
We utilize JSA and / or PSA for our authentication.  The above Certificates of Authenticity, click on each card to go
to their websites for further review. On many occasions, there will be a 3rd Party Authenticator on site at the
Autograph signing.  However, with Celebrities and Musicians, this is impossible since these individuals are often
"Chased" (meaning asked for an autograph as they are walking down the street or through an airport).  Then
these items should be sent and reviewed by another company for authentication purposes.

If you are currently working with an Autographed item provider and their items are authenticated by themselves,
you should begin to question it's authenticity.  Even though the item comes with their Certificate of Authenticity,
this certainly does not mean it is real or authentic.
